Marin County’s supervisorial district mapping process was completed on December 14, 2021 with the adoption of an ordinance by the Board of Supervisors.

A community of interest is defined by the State as “a population that shares common social or economic interest that should be included within a single district for purposes of its effective and fair representation.” This could include lifestyle, economy, demography, geography, political subdivisions (such as school districts or planning areas), or place-based issues/needs. If you are interested in providing comments about your community of interest, please let us know the following:

  • Where your community is located
  • What your shared interests are/what brings you together
  • What is important to your community
  • Anything else you think might be important for consideration
